Sql server intellisense not updating
Making his home in Jacksonville, FL, Devin is a participating member of the local users’ group (JSSUG). You do not see Test Table in Intelli Sense possibly because this table was not created by such a script.
I also have SQL Prompt installed and, although I generally like all of this new functionality, it does seem to get carried away with auto-complete and I can't tell if it's the built-in functionality for SQL Prompt. At least I can see it perfectly well after typing Crete Table Test Table… After dropping this table you still have it in Intelli Sense, even after refreshing Intelli Sense local cash or refreshing tables, databases or servers in Object Explorer. "Intelli Sense slow to refresh" i don't think so, in my system it instantly update the table structure, as i create a table and give a SELECT * FROM..
It helps to speed up code writing by reducing keystrokes, relieves from necessity to bear in mind a large number of objects' and parameters' names, and prevents typos in clauses and names.Of course Query Analyzer users will remember CTRL SHIFT R being the shortcut to uncomment something.Hopefully this will help someone 🙂 I also created a copy of this on our wiki here: Intelli Sense does not see new objects in SQL Server Management Studio *** Remember, if you have a SQL related question, try our Microsoft SQL Server Programming forum or our Microsoft SQL Server Admin forum Denis has been working with SQL Server since version 6.5.Even "simply" disconnecting from and reconnecting to the db is not enough ! Yes, the editor will show the "offending" column with a red underline, but it will also refuse to save my query.I have to completely get out anf come back in again.
